Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC), located at the Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey, intends to award a contract for Security Guard Services with performance at the above location. A firm fixed-price contract is anticipated as a result of this full and open competition for these services. The services shall consist of labor, personnel, management, materials and equipment, necessary to provide uniformed, armed security guard services for protection of all base personnel, property, facilities, and operations in accordance with the terms and conditions of SIR No. DTFACT-05-R-00002 and its attachments. The initial period of performance will be for six (6) months with four (4), one (1) year option periods and one (1) six (6) month option period. The base period also includes a one (1) month transition period. The anticipated award date will be February 2005. Contract performance shall begin on March 1, 2005 (transition period). There is a mandatory site visit scheduled for Thursday, December 9, 2004, 9:00AM. All interested parties will meet at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, Security Operations Center, Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey 08405. Offerors are hereby advised that a maximum of (2) people per prospective bidder may participate in the site visit. Offerors are advised that this will be the only site visit scheduled; therefore, arrangements for individual visits will not be honored. Remarks, explanations, or answers to questions provided at this site visit shall not qualify the solicitation terms unless such remarks, explanations, or answers are in the form of a formal written amendment to the solicitation. All prospective offerors are hereby advised that attendance at the site visit is mandatory. Those not in attendance at the scheduled site visit will not be permitted to submit an offer for award of these services resulting from the SIR. SIR No. DTFACT-05-R-00002 is provided as an attachment to this announcement along with all related attachments and other information. Any questions regarding the terms and conditions contained in the SIR or any of its attachments must be done so via e-mail. All questions shall be sent to chris.gallagher@faa.gov The completed SIR and all other information required for bid on this effort must be submitted no later than 2:00pm EST on Thursday, January 6, 2005 per the instructions set forth in the SIR.
