- Description
- In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Bureau of Census National Processing Center (NPC) in Jeffersonville, Indiana, intends to negotiate a sole source order with Covanta Indianapolis, Inc. to process the destruction via incineration of sensitive Census materials, records, and forms composed of paper products, and other materials such as metals and plastics. The amount of materials to be processed is between 650 and 1,300 tons. The incineration facility owned and operated by Covanta Indianapolis is the only known facility within a reasonable distance from NPC Census that can destroy the Census materials in a manner that complies with Census policies and procedures and also complies with EPA environmental regulations. The NAICS code is 562119. The intent of this synopsis is for information purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation will be issued. Interested companies having the appropriate abilities may submit in writing their capability statement with cost information to the given address, Attn.: Clark Terrell, Contract Specialist, or email: clark.k.terrell@census.gov, within 15 days of this notice. No telephone requests will be honored. If no responses are received within 15 days of the date of this notice, a sole source order with Covanta Indianapolis will be processed without further notice.
