- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to solicit on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis for the acquisition of Administrative and Clerical Support Services at the Training Air Wing Five (TW-5) located at Naval Air Station, Milton, FL. The services will be accomplished through a modification extending the performance period under the existing contract N00140-01-C-0024. The extension will consist of a 1-month period and two (2), 1-month options. The extension is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source (Transtecs Corporation, 2102 E. 21st St. N. Wichita, KS 67214), under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Reasonable Source and No Other Supplier or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The purpose of this extension is to allow sufficient time to complete the procurement process for a competitive follow-on contract. The applicable NAICS code is 561110 with a size standard of $6M. The Government intends to acquire the services from Transtecs since they are the only source that currently has the personnel and infrastructure in place to perform the requisite services by 1 January 2005 without an additional 30-day phase-in period (starting 1 December 2004) that would be required from a different source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not pay for information received. The RFP was issued on 13 MAY 2004, closed on 16 JUN 2004 and is currently under evaluation.
