- This acquisition is not A&E Services as defined by Part 36 of the FAR. This acquisition will be conducted following the procedures in FAR Part 13. The U.S. Geological Survey, has a requirement for value engineering/analysis for a design project located in Lafayette, Louisiana. The work will consist of Value Engineering Services and final development and presentation of a report listing the results of the VE process. The Value Engineering shall be based on the 30% design development package and the input from the design team members including the National Wetlands Research Center staff, the prime A/E for this project (and their sub contractors), and the Total Building Commissioning Authority. The VE Contractor shall provide all labor, time, materials, postage, travel, and equipment necessary to perform the services described herein. The study shall be conducted by a multi-disciplinary team of professional architects and engineers that is led by the Certified Value Specialist (CVS). The primary Value Engineering work session will take place at National Wetlands Research Center in Lafayette, LA and is estimated to take 5-10 days. The work of this purchase order shall be provided from approximately January 15, 2005 through March 15, 2005. The project will be located in Lafayette LA, and is estimated building construction to be approximately 20 million dollars. A firm, fixed-price purchase order will be negotiated for this design review project. The Request for Quote will be issued on or before November 29.
