Description

The Fort Dix Contracting Office is conducting a market survey for potential sources for a proposed contract for the design, build, and set-up a mobile city composed of 17 single story buildings and 1 double-story building. Each building shall be at least 45 feet in length and 8 feet in width. The double-story building shall have one external stair well and one internal stair well. Each building shall have at least one window frame and two doors. This mobile city will be used to conduct mobilized o peration urban training (MOUT) for deploying units. The buildings should be designed to allow multiple soldiers to enter and clear the building. Each building will be designed to support at least 6 soldiers standing on the top of the building. The inter ior of the building shall have plywood in order to hang signs and pictures. The doors shall be easy to repair. The buildings shall be easy to move so as to allow the configuration of the city to be changed using a 10-ton forklift. The contractor shall p rovide maintenance to the building. At the present time, it is projected that any procurement will be a negotiated firm fixed price procurement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) and no solicitation is available at this time.
