- Description
- The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intend to increase the support of the contract with The EMMES Corporation, Contract No. N01-DK-1-2472. The purpose is to: (1) coordinate and provide statistical, technical, logistical and administrative support for all activities of the NIDDK Islet Transplantation Data and Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), (2) perform all administrative and coordinating arrangements related to the NIDDK clinical investigation of Islet Transplantation in Medicare beneficiaries as mandated by the Medicare Reform Bill of 2003 and, (3) to develop a database conversion program for Centers belonging to the Collaborative Islet Transplant Registry (CITR). The authority for this action is 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. See Numbered Note 22.
