- Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to issue a solicitation using full and open competitive procedures for a one year base period with four one-year options for support for Navy?s Strategic Sourcing Programs (for both the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corp) conducted by the Department of Navy Strategic Sourcing Acquisition Centers of Excellence. It is anticipated that the Government will award multiple awards, IDIQ type contracts, that will be a combination of firm fixed price (FFP) and time and materials (T&M). Tasks will then be competed, issued and funded at the order level. A draft of the solicitation N68936-05-R-0012 will be posted by November 18, 2004. Interested parties are invited to review the draft solicitation and any attachments and provide comments, recommendations and questions to the Contract Specialist by 3:00PM PST, December 10, 2004. The Government intends to hold an Industry Day in Las Veg! as, Nevada on December 14, 2004. The registration form for Industry Day has been posted to the Strategic Sourcing website. Individuals may now register for Industry Day. Registration will conclude on Wednesday, 8 December 2004. Individuals can locate the registration form by following the steps below: 1) Go to http://strategicsourcing.navy.mil/ 2) Click on "Conference Info" link 3) Complete the registration form for Industry Day and select "Submit Registration" Individuals that register before 12:00PM PST on Friday, 19 November will receive a confirmation number for a room at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino - individuals that register for Industry Day after 12:00pm PST on Friday, 19 November will be responsible for their own lodging reservations. The website specifies Eastern Standard Times. Companies are limited to no more than two representatives. The Government will discuss the requirement and answer questions. The contracts covered by this solicitation provide services and /or products to support Agency Tenders in DON standard or streamlined competitions. Examples include but are not limited to: tender proposal preparation; management plan development, employee relations support; position classification support; labor market analysis; agency cost estimate development; transition plan development; quality control plan development; phase-in plan development; and MEO team member training support.
