All of these items are com monly used on the M3 Borescope. The M3 Borescope is a portable optical borescope used to visually inspect cannon bores of howitzers, tanks, and mortars for defects of manufacture and damage caused by firing. Three extension tube assemblies, each consisti ng of a forward and a rear section, contain optical systems. Extension tubes permit inspection of bores having lengths up to approximately 26 feet. Support rings are provided to center the borescope. An adapter assembly houses: (a) circuit breakers for 24 or 115 bolt operation, (b) the electrical light control, and (c) the electrical receptacle connector. The adapter assembly connects the eyepiece assembly to the borescope extension tube or to the objective tube assembly, depending on the length of the bore to be inspected. Award of a 3 year Requirements, Firm fixed Price contract is anticipated. Delivery will be FOB Destination. . Estimated solicitation issue date is 06 DEC 2004. This solicitation shall be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1-(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them by the date and time set for bid opening /receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of the same.
