Description
The US Army ARDEC is conducting a market survey to identify potential Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business concerns to undertake a program to exploit the benefits of production, optical processing and advanced forming techniques in reactive armor tiles and other sheet metal armament applications. ARDEC is interested in industry submissions in this area. All interested firms shall submit their technical capabilities (1-10 pages) for the above to include the following at no cost to the Government. The technical capabilities shall describe how the interested firm can provide engineering services and equipment related to the following: (1)Definition of equipment density listings, service capabilities, and integrated in-house pilot production capabilities for armaments and energetics. (2) Establishment of in-house capabilities in optical processing of materials to include cutting, welding, and forming. (3) Engineering design improvements and improvements in manufacturability of reactive armor tile systems for armored vehicles. (4) Capability to develop public/private partnering model that describes an integrated in-house pilot production capability that incorporates advanced processes for energetic and armament systems. Any drawings and/or initial experimentation results/test data may be included along with your technical capabilities. These submissions will not count towards your technical capabilities page count limitation. The technical capabilities shall be submitted electronically fifteen (15) days from the date of this notice to Mr. Kevin Puma (email address: kpuma@pica.army.mil). Any questions should be asked in writing and sent electronically. If interested, also please provide the company?s name, address, point of contact with telephone number and email address of each team member, and certification that the company is a Service Disabled Small Business concern.
