- Description
- Work consists of contractor furnishing all labor, material, equipment, supervision, work and facilities necessary to perform all operations, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. The scope of work for this project includes the following: (1) Asbestos abatement from approximately 460 feet of existing piping and associated fittings. (2) Demolition of existing piping to directly above the Main Steam header stop valves for all Plant Turbine Generators. (3) Fabrication and installation of new 6 inch schedule 40, A-335 P-12 or equivalent alloy pipe and fittings, associated steam by-pass warm-up valves and piping with high temperature 1500 psig valves and all associated A-182 F-11 fittings such that all new steam system piping conforms to all ASME Power Piping Code Requirements and existing Clear AFS Power Plant as-built plans. (4) Re-insulate, seal and flash piping once the new piping is in place and certified as acceptable by an appropriate Inspector. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. THIS SOLICITATION IS PAPERLESS AND IS AVAILABLE VIA CD-ROM. AMENDMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED ON THE INTERNET ONLY. Award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract and the total performance period is 9 months. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity.
