Item 0001 is a Spacer/Compressor. NSN: 2840009149802RV. P/N: 542536. The Spacer, 1st Stage, Titanium Material, AMS 4928.Approx. 15.5 OD X 14.0 ID X 7.168 IN. THK. MFG DIMENSIONS ARE CRITICAL.Snap diameters are close to tolerance to meet stringent balance and fit limits. Function: Acts as a spacer between front compressor hub and 2nd stage disk. NHA: Compressor rotor. Appl: TF33-P5/9/102 Engines, C-135 Aircraft. I.A.W. current drawings. Quantity Range MIN 1 ? MAX 9 EA. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: July 2005. Government/Commercial, new/unused surplus is acceptable. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 3 December 2004. The anticipated award date is January 2005. This is a small business set-aside. This item is competitive. Technical Data package will be provided and First Article requirements apply. Government/Commercial New and Unused surplus is acceptable. Qualification requirements: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design can be considered approved sources for this design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the Government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written quotations are required. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with United Technologies Corp. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process.
