- In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 6.302-1, Only one responsilbe source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements, the Department of Energy (DOE), National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to award a sole source contract to Carnegie Mellon University/Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center (CMU/PSC). This contract will be for connectivity and administration/maintenance support of that connectivity from the NETL Pittsburgh site to the CMU/PSC GigaPop. CMU/PSC is the owner and operator of the CMU/PSC GigaPop and the only known source for supercomputing in the Pittsburgh, PA location. The replacement connectivity will provide at least a 100mb link from NETL-Pittsburgh to the CMU/PSC GigaPop. The administrative and maintenance services required inlcude: - periodic configuration modifications - continuity of services - and enhance the service capabilities - and continuity of service Please note, this is NOT a Request for Proposals (RFP) and NO competitive solicitation will be issued as result of this notice.
