- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Charleston (Code 70 Intelligence and Information Warfare Systems Engineering Department) is requesting information regarding Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) systems currently available in the marketplace that are an Enterprise-level system capable of being both Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Access Control Systems (ACS). SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston has developed a System requirements matrix (attached) and is requesting ACS/IDS manufacturers provide information about their systems in accordance with this matrix. Responses from manufacturers choosing to participate will be utilized by various U.S. Government agencies to evaluate capabilities of various COTS ACS/IDS. Procurement of equipment and material IS NOT part of this request. This is a Request For Information (RFI) only. Responses must be in the format requested on the matrix and in the appropriate location provided. Instructions are included in the matrix. Responses to the matrix may be e-mailed to David Needham at david.needham@navy.mil or faxed to (843) 218-4694 no later than 01 December 2004. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IN NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PROVISION OF THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT, NOR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.
