- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a task order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-02-G-3236 to General Electric Aircraft Engines for the procurement of various Engineering Technical Support Services for the T58-GE-16A Engine Improvement Reliability Program (ERIP) for the USMC CH-46E propulsion system. These services specifically related to the ERIP program include support of the; ERIP test cell improvement, T58 combustion case analysis, performance support for the Depot at Cherry Point for data reduction analysis, Compressor Case distortion analysis, validate and provide metrics for T58 ERIP program, evaluate T58 Support Equipment and engine rework procedures, T58 ERIP Physical Configuration Reviews, and provide ERIP Sustaining and Repair Engineering services. General Electric Aircraft Engines has retained all proprietary data and software rights for the T58 ERIP engine. Industry is notified that the Government does not have access to, nor is it planning to obtain, the technical proprietary data, manufacturing tooling, and software rights for any of the components that make up the T58-GE-16 Gas Path Module. Based on the above information, it is the Government's position that General Electric Aircraft Engines is the only known firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, technical data, and tooling necessary to perform the required efforts.
