- MOD Change response date from 16 Nov 04 to 22 Nov 04. The embedded Terrain Awareness Warning System (eTAWS) is an embedded implementation of a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) algorithm that uses a terrain database and aircraft dynamics to determine whether there is a risk of Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT). The U.S. Navy intends to issue Delivery/Task Order against Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-05-G-0001 to procure the non-recurring effort required to incorporate eTAWS and associated Digital Video Recorder (DVR) replacement for the current Airborne Video Cassette Recorders (AVCR) into the T-45 Aircraft, NAS Meridian (NASM) flight simulators, and NAWC-AD Pax River Manned Flight Simulator (MFS).
