PLEASE CONTACT CATHERINE FRITZ AT 907-586-0887 FOR ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS** City and Borough of Juneau Request for Qualifications **Alaska State Capitol Designer/Design Competition (C3)RFQ E05-091** SCOPE OF SERVICES: The City and Borough of Juneau, Alaska announces an opportunity for Design Excellence in public architecture for performance of Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Design for a new State Capitol Building. The design team will be selected through a Design Competition. This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) of Lead Designers/Design Firms interested in contracting for this project. Lead Designers/Design Firms must register on the competition web site (www.alaskacapitol.org) in order to participate in the selection process. The A/E Team selection will be completed in three stages as follows: In Stage I, interested participants will submit portfolios that establish the design capabilities of the Lead Designer and the Design Firm. A nine member Jury will evaluate the submissions and establish a short list of a maximum of eight (8) firms to participate in Stage II. For Stage II, the short-listed firms will be asked to submit more detailed information indicating each member of the design team including sub-consultants, and present two (2) Site Evaluation and Design Idea boards at a scheduled in-person interview. The Jury will decide Stage II rankings and determine the firms that will be invited to participate in Stage III. For Stage III, a maximum of four (4) firms will be invited to be further evaluated in an anonymous Design Concepts competition for which an honorarium will be paid.
