Description
This sources sought is a request for information prior to drafting and releasing any resultant solicitation. The information contained in this sources sought notification is based on the best and most current information available to date, is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Any significant changes will be provided in a subsequent synopsis, if required. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) is seeking potential businesses to provide a conference facility for one to fifteen day periods for approximately 100 guests throughout the year and one event for up to 600 guests. The conferences will need to be set up in either classroom style or horseshoe style setting depending on the conference. The conference location must be within walking distance from the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, 201 12th St. South, Suite 203, Arlington, VA 22202. If you are interested in competing for this requirement, please indicate your interest by sending an electronic capabilities brief no later than November 15, 2004, 10:00A.M. EDT to Mr. Julian O. Boggan, email: julian.boggan@dsca.mil and cc Ms. Toye Latimore, email: toye.latimore@dsca.mil. The e-mail shall contain the following subject line, “Sources Sought, Conference Center”. Use of any other subject line may delay your entry. All valid e-mail responses from prospective sources must provide the return e-mail address, company name, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, and point of contact within the body of their response. In addition, to assist in the acquisition strategy development, please respond to the following questions: 1) is your business a small business [Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, etc]? For the purpose of determining your business size, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), 531120 with a size standard of $6M average annual receipts over the past three years, will be utilized for this acquisition. 2) Provide a list of customers (Government/non-Government) within the past 5-years highlighting similar work performed. Include contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement, and point of contact/address/and phone numbers and a brief description of the work performed 3) Provide information relative to past performance that demonstrates the ability to provide ALL capabilities noted below that includes, but not limited to: a) a conference room to seat approximately 100 guests, for up to 26 events, for up to 9 hours per event, and one event for 600 guest for one event per year, up to 8 hours. b) Conference room set up requirements may be either horseshoe or classroom shaped c) Equipment required are laptop computers, overhead projector, large projection screen, CD/VHS projection capabilities, PA system, wireless microphones, microphones one per place setting, d) Facility must have an administrative room where conference facilitators can conduct business. The administrative room must able to support two computer connections e) An area adjacent to the administrative room that contains a high-speed copier available for use f) A full-time technical staff on location to provide support and assistance with all equipment located in the conference facility g) The conference facility must be able to provide refresehments throughout the day and lunch for approximately 100 guest per day h) The following additional items must be available/provided at the conference facility: locking conference and administrative rooms (use of physical fitness facilities at no additional cost), priority placement in the event of cancellation (cancellation fee), breakfast and lunch, conference attendees must be provided refreshments during breaks for each day of the conference, refreshments provided at least one hour prior to the start of the agenda day and remain supplied throughout the day, attendees should be authorized early arrival or late departure privileges, as requested by and paid for by individual attendee. 4) Other pertinent information: E-mail responses without the aforementioned information will not be recognized as valid. ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS MUST RESPOND TO THIS SYNOPSIS VIA E-MAIL. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR RETURNED. Submit responses no later than November 15, 2004, 10:00A.M.
