- Alpha contracting techniques will be used to place on award any item used by the Department of Defense that is sole source to any Raytheon CAGE. All potential items to be added to this proposed sole source award will by published on this site for review by all potential sources. Any item found to be available from alternate sources would be removed from consideration. Any alternative source must show conclusively that they can provide the exact item or an alternate item that has been approved by the engineering support activity for the item in question The first items to be considered for award will be the following National Stock Numbers. Any alternate source is invited to notify the POC below to verify their ability to provide any of these items. Once verification is complete, any item with an available alternate source will be removed from consideration under this project. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote that shall be considered. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 10 years. The proposed award is not set-aside. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses identifying an alternate source for one of the items proposed above received within 14 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
