- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure on a sole source basis from Raytheon Company, Integrated Defense Systems, 1847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, Rhode Island, one ship set MK 57 MOD 10 NATO SEASPARROW Surface Missile System (NSSMS) Ordnance Alteration (Ordalt) Kit. The Ordalt Kit will upgrade the existing NSSMS MK57 Mod 6. Raytheon is the sole designer, developer and producer of the MK 57 NSSMS. As such, Raytheon is the only firm with the requisite expertise, knowledge, experience and facilities necessary to provide the continued production of the MK 57 NSSMS ORDALT kit. This additional work will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). Firms interested in subcontracting opportunities should contact Raytheon directly. See Numbered Note 22.
