- This project which was originally announced in June 2004 will now be issued on or around November 18, 2004. Companies which submitted requests under the original announcement are already included on the Bidders Mailing List. The work will be performed in two phases. Phase I consist of: 1. Mobilize floating work platform (barge), crane/hoist, and all associated dive equipment, 2. Inspect and repair eight vent plugs located on the outlet works intake structure; 3. Remove outlet works bulkhead gate from submerged support position and lower it into the outlet works intake structure; 4. Raise outlet works bulkhead gate from installed position to submerged support position on top of the outlet works intake structure; 5. Demobilize floating work platform, crane/hoist, and all associated dive equipment. Phase II consists of: 1. Mobilize floating work surface, crane/hoist and all associated dive equipment; 2. Inspect and repair eight vent plugs located on the outlet works intake structure; 3. Remove outlet works bulkhead gate from submerged support position and lower it into the outlet works intake structure; 4. Raise outlet works bulkhead gate from installed position and remove from reservoir to designated location on-shore; 5. Pick up submerged trashrack from spillway area and install on top of outlet works intake structure; and 6. Demobilize floating work platform, crane/hoist and all associated dive equipment. The work is located at Green Mountain Dam and Powerplant, located approximately 3 miles west of U.S. Highway 9, approximately 27 miles north of Dillon, Colorado and approximately 13 miles south of Kremmling, Colorado, in Summit County. The Request For Proposals will be available on or around November 18, 2004. The time and date for receipt of proposals is tentatively scheduled for December 21, 2004, 2:30 PM at the Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. The estimated price range of this acquisition is $100,000 to $250,000. There is no charge for the first copy; additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 per set. All reasonable sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The North American Industrial Classification Code is 237990. The small business size standard is $28.5 Million. This acquisition is unrestricted. This specifications and drawings will be not posted to the internet; however a complete solicitation package is available in hard copy. To request a hard copy of the solicitation, contractors must fax a request to (406) 247-7798, Attn: Hart BlackEagle. The request must include contractor's name, address, phone/fax numbers, tax identification number and their Dun and Bradstreet number. Note: Effective October 1, 2003, any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration.
