- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Perceptron Portable Laser Scanner Head, Scanworks and Polyworks Software, NNG05080327L which was posted on October 20, 2004. This modification provides answers to the following questions: Q: Is the referenced Perceptron Portable Laser Scanner Head System for NASA to include software for both Reverse Engineering (CAD Modeling from the scan of the object) - or both applications together? A: The software will be used for reverse engineering processes and for initial scan processes (ie. metrology). Q: Is the training to be on-site at the customer location? A: The training will be on-site using the purchased equipment. Q: Does the customer already have a Faro Platinum Portable CMM Arm with 7th Axis Wrist option? A: Yes Q: Does the customer intend to have this installed if they do not have it already? A: Yes Does the customer have a suitably powerful enough PC controller to handle the large data sets associated with laser scanning with the Faro Arm System? A: Yes The due date for responses is not extended. Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and any amendments. Potential offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
