- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commerical items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Regional Contracting Office, NE currently has a requirement for (1200 tons), salt index 165 sodium chloride, for ice removal. Quantities will vary between the two sites, more or less may have to be applied to a particular side of the Marine Corps Base, each salt dome is equal in distance from interstate 95; approximately five (5) miles from the interstate 95 exit to the south gate. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 2001.05. The following cluases apply to this acquisition; FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors; FAR 52-212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items; FAR 52-212-4 an! d 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions For Commercial items; FAR 52-222-25 Affirmative Action Compliance.
