Description
Wiesbaden Contracting Center intends to competitively award a FFP contract to provide Interns for 13 weeks to include Transportation of interns, Administrative and Indirect cost, National Agency Checks and Supervisory Support costs. The contract wil l be for the purposes of planning, organizing, staffing and conducting programs at various Child Development Centers, School-Age Services and Youth Services in Germany. The contractor agrees to furnish all required personnel, supervision, management control, and other materials to fully comply with all requirements of this contract. Proof of Personal Liability Insurance is required and must be submitted with the proposal . Intern staffing will consist of undergraduate, sophomore, junior and senior students or recent graduates (within 3 years) with majors in early childhood education, parks and/or recreation, leisure services, youth development, education (physical education, special education, elementary education, home economics education), social services, and counseling, or other related educational experience, as well as graduate students who are in a field of study that relates to and will achieve the programs objective s. Personnel must possess the ability to work under unusual conditions and the flexibility to adapt to varying situations, such as learning to use the European train system; involvement in different cultures without the ability to speak and or understand the language, and the ability to learn European driving laws, etc. The civilian address of each community site will be provided by the Contracting Officers Representative (Cor) upon contract award. As a minimum, interns will a. Be in good academic standing with a Gpa of 2.25 or better on a 4.0 scale at a college or university that provides appropriate fields of study, i.e., early childhood education, recreation, youth development, education or a field of study that relates to , and will achieve, the programs objective. b. Have completed undergraduate studies in the area of assigned responsibilities, i.e., early childhood education, sports, recreation, education, recreation therapy, crafts, special education or social programming. c. Have experience as a youth counselor or working with licensed child care center operations at state or federal level. Anticipated issue date of the solicitation in on the 04 November 2004.
