NSN: 2840-01-482-7558PR, Part Number: 1807M62G01, Noun: FLAMEHOLDER. Item Description: THE FLAMEHOLDER IS AN ASSEMBLY CONSISTING OF TWO CIRCUMFERENTIAL CHANNELS CALLED MID GUTTER AND OUTER GUTTER. THESE TWO GUTTERS ARE JOINED BY 20 EACH RADIAL GUTTERS PERMANENTLY ATTACHED TO THE OUTER GUTTER. THE MID GUTTER HOUSES THE IGNITER SWIRLER HOUSING. THE FUNCTION OF THE FLAMEHOLDER IS TO CONSTRICT THE AUGMENTER FLAME WHEN SELECTED TO A CERTAIN AREA AND SHAPE. Appl: F110 Engine. Destination: FB2039. BEQ is 73; however, there will be quantity ranges from 37-54, 55-72, and 73-91. Delivery: September 2005. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 12 Nov 04. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 12 Dec 04. The anticipated award date will be 31 January 05. A First Article is required. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. The solicitation must be printed from FedBizOps by the contractor. This office will not mail solicitations. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at the time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
