Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation documents, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-25. This procurement is unrestricted. The NAICS is 332998 with business size standard 500 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Products manufactured by Acorn Engineering Company and in accordance with FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal and VAAR 852.211-77 Brand Name or Equal are intended to be descriptive but not restrictive, and are provided to indicate the quality and characteristics of products that will be satisfactory. The South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229 has a requirement to purchase for the Casca Project #671-220 MICU: ten (10) Acorn M4044-L/R, Versalette 47? wide with Rectangular Lavy. Versalette features a durable, user-friendly design, which is both functional and compact. The Versalette includes a large stainless steel sink; bedpan washer and vitreous china toilet with a toilet cover that doubles as a bedside seat. The cabinet surface is high-pressure laminate. Cabinet base color is Enviro-glaze Quicksilver EG02. Interior surfaces are stain-resistant melamine laminate. Corners are rounded with soft edges. Cabinet features a unique angled door, which swings open to allow access to the bedpan washer and toilet tissue holder and a separate access door for plumbing access and storage. Cabinet includes a pivoting; padded toilet cover and back rest which doubles as a bedside seat. Seat color selection is determined by factory. Base molding for the cabinet is by others. Countertop is finished with high-pressure laminate and features rounded corners. Color for countertop is Wilsonart, 4680-60 Lodestone. Lavatory is heavy gage, type 304 stainless steel with rim and rectangular bowl. Bowl measures 14-1/2? x 9-1/2? x 6? deep. A chrome-plated grid strainer, tailpiece and 1-1/2? P-trap are provided. Hot and Cold Mixing Faucet includes wristblade handles and a gooseneck spout. Toilet is a wall mounted, siphon jet, white vitreous china style and features an elongated bowl, 1.6 Gallons Per Flush and self-sustaining white-hinged seat. Required wall carrier is by others. Hydraulic Flush Valve is provided for installation within the wall and includes an access panel to allow for service. Minimum required flow pressure is 25 PSI. Bedpan Washer is concealed within cabinet and includes a flexible stainless steel hose, self-closing spray valve with volume control and elevated pressure type vacuum breaker. GUIDE SPECIFICATION: Acorn 47? wide Versalette. Cabinet surface to be high-pressure laminate. Base molding by others. Countertop finished with high-pressure laminate. Includes pivoting padded seat cover with backrest, hydraulic flush valve, access panel and toilet tissue holder. Wall mounted, elongated, stainless steel toilet with 1.6 GPF and self-sustaining hinged seat. Wall carrier by others. Stainless steel rectangular lavy. Concealed bedpan washer includes elevated pressure type vacuum breaker. Quotations shall include all warranty information, shop drawings, and specifications. Quotations shall be submitted F.O.B. destination. All quotations are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with quotation.
