- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response date, correct an error and address questions received and provide all interested parties with the Government's response. 1. The response date and time is hereby changed to 4:00pm, Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, October 28, 2004. 2. Block (iii) on Combined Solicitation number HQ0095-05-R-0003 has been corrected as follows: This requirement is unrestricted. 3. The following is a list of questions received and the Government's response. Question: Why does the contract require the vendor to make these transcripts available on Lexus-Nexus and is there any embargo time for this? Answer: We use Lexus Nexus also to determine breaking news. By providing transcripts to Lexus Nexus we ensure that breaking DoD news is available to the media. Question: What is the approximate number of events that would need to be transcribed over the course of the year? Answer: The best estimate would be a minimum of 150 major news briefings lasting at least 30 minutes. Question: Are the DOD Briefing and Press Conferences limited to events held at the Pentagon only? Answer: No. Question: If not, will DOD provide a data/tape feed of any events outside the DC area? Answer: Yes, DoD will provide a tape or wave file. The contractor must be able to transcribe from digital or analog sources.
