- Description
- The Philadelphia Division of FISC Norfolk's Contracting Department intends to solicit for technical services support, asset management support and engineering coordination in the planning, implementation and management of hardware and software assets in support of the Naval Medical Information Management Center (NMIMC) located in Bethesda, MD and the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) located in Washington, DC. It is anticipated that the Navy will solicit for a Time and Materials, Labor Hour contract for a 6-month base period beginning 01 April 2005 and ending 30 September 2005, four 12-month options, and one 6-month option. The estimated level of effort for the base year of this effort is 5,760 labor hours or 57,600 labor hours for the base year and all option periods. Interested vendors will be required to submit cost and technical proposals and the evaluation for contract award resulting from the forthcoming solicitation will consider technical proposals more important than cost. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 541519 with a size standard of $21 million. The solicitation shall be issued on a restricted basis and is open to all small business concerns. In accordance with Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Numbered Note 26, the Navy is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described services. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement shall be posted on or after 23 November 2004 at the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website (www.neco.navy.mil <http://www.neco.navy.mil>).
