- The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Fort Campbell, KY, has a requirement for the purchase 1,550 BDU Barrier Garment System, Desert Camouflage Scrubs, manufactured by GOCURDA, L.L.C., Suwanee, GA. DESCRIPTION: Camo Scrub, Breathable Garment Syst em, machine washable that provides a protective barrier against infectious diseases; 50/50 NYCO ripstop material; Pants with belt loop and drawstring closure; Bellows pockets on legs must have adjustable Velcro closures; Rear pockets with flap and Velcro c losures; Shirt/Blouse with utility pocket and flaps and attached tabs for ID badge; Stethoscope pocket on breast; Utility pocket on sleeve for pen and equipment; Velcro type material on collar band for rank and insignia attachment. This procurement will b e conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed price, supply type contract with GOCURDA, L.L.C., Suwanee, GA. Th e basis for restricting competition is Proprietary rights and patented data to GOCURDA, LLC. The required delivery date is 26 Nov 04. Supplies will be delivered to Fort Campbell, KY. 42223. Partial shipments will be authorized. A complete set of Camo BDU Scrubs will consist of (1) one Top/Shirt, and (1) one Bottom/Pants. Required quantities are 20 Sets each Size 3XL , 80 Sets each Size 2XL , 480 Sets each Size XL , 670 Sets each Size Large , 300 Sets each Size Medium . NAICS code for this pr ocurement is 315999 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demon strate the ability to provide the items listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with GOCURDA, LLC. Responses are due not later than 7 November 2004, 4:00 P.M. C.S.T.
