- Description
- The Air Intelligence Agency (AIA) wishes to acquire computer software programming enhancements assistance to the Desktop Security Incident Measurement (DSIM) project. The DSIM is a centrally managed host-based network-centric Intrusion Detection System (IDS) with firewall capabilities. It monitors the base communications network for suspicious activity, malicious activity, attempted intrusion or actual intrusion and reports the activity to a DSIM server. The contractor will provide the necessary software and design expertise for enhancements to DSIM to efficiently monitor and report activity. This product will include support to IPv6 as well as IPv4. The product shall provide IDS and Intrusion Protection System (IPS) inspection of encrypted traffic that is directed at each host machine on which the agent is installed. The product shall include increased granular control of its device protection capabilities to allow the administrators to specify not only which input/output (IO) devices can be blocked and/or monitored but also which IO devices are connected to the hub. The requirement will also include option requirements. These include Support for Unix operation System, Support for Windows CE and N-tiered management of the policies being enforced by the product. The Government requests that the offeror provide terms for the Government acquiring the software code or a plan for the Government to acquire the source code should the vendor go out of business and/or it or a successor in interest decline to continue development/support of the Air Force version. Offerors are required to provide the unit and extended prices for the following base line items - Item 0001: Alpha Version Software, Item 0002: Beta Version Software, Item 0003: Final Version Software, Item 0004: Data. Item 0005: AF Enterprise Wide Software License. Offerors are required to provide the unit and extended prices for the following option requirements - Item 1001, UNIX Alpha Version Software; Item 1002, UNIX Beta Version Software; Item 1003:, UNIX Final Version Software; Item 2001, Windows CE Alpha Version Software; Item 2002, Windows CE Beta Version Software, Item 2003, Windows CE Final Version Software; Item 3001, N-Tiered Management Capability.
