Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration, has a requirement to perform a Special Survey of Machinery on the T/S ENTERPRISE at pierside, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Buzzards Bay, MA, and to fabricate and install an MSD lift station. In addition to adding the lift station, the work requires survey of machinery including, but not limited to: turbines and flexible couplings, SSTGs, maneuvering valve, main steam strainer, linshaft bearings, reduction gear, condenser, pumps, gauge testing & calibration, DC heater, pressure vessels, lube oil cooler, etc. A dock trial is to be performed once work is completed. All work must be completed timely so as not to jeopardize the vessel's 08 Jan 2005 sailing date. A site survey will be conducted 04 Nov 2004. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
