Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's Acquisition Management System Policy (FAAAMS), Paragraph 3.2.2.4 Single Source Selection, the FAA Alaskan Region is intending to negotiate a single source procurement with MSDSPro, Inc., Anchorage, Alaska, under Solicitation No. DTFAAL-05-R-00004. The contract is for a Base Year contract and Four (4) Option Years. The contract is for services to obtain and maintain accurate and current versions of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all hazardous chemical inventories for all the Alaskan Region FAA Facilities. During FY 2002, after a vigorous selection process that included review of data base functionality; regulatory requirements; and testing for user friendliness, the Alaskan Region procured the MSDSPro Hazardous Material Inventory commercially off-the-shelf (COTS) proprietary database from MSDSPro, Inc. This procurement falls under NAICS Code No. 54151. "This Notice is for information purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small business, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
