- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS This is a combined Synopsis/Pre Solicitation notice. This requirement is for a contractor to furnish and install flooring materials and cove base as it is described in the project specifications. GSA will extend to the successful contractor GSA contract pricing on carpet, adhesives, ceramic tile, cove base, walk off matting, and other materials on contract and involved in this project. It is up to the contractor to determine amount of carpet required to complete the work (amount must be sufficient to complete the work with no more than 10% attic stock-any left over in excess of 10% of job will be deducted directly from the contractors price). Excess carpet, adhesives, materials and cove base will be turned over to the government for attic stock with a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 10% reuqired. All measurements and estimates are to be determined by contractor. The contractor is to provide color and style choices for the Government to make final selections of the products. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: This is a working SSA Office that must remain open to the public while the flooring projects are completed. All work is to be done after hours or on the weekends. The contractor will have to move all furniture and replace it before the start of the work day. Also required is the submission of security forms for security clearances for all personnel working on this project. GSA will provide the forms and fingerprint cards. The successful contractor will be required to be registered on the US Government "Central Contractor's Registration (CCR)" (Please see www.ccr.gov for further information). The period of performance is sixty (60) days. The NAICS COde for this procurement is 238330 and the small business size standard is $12 Million. The procurement is being issued as a small business set aside. The estimate for work is between $30,000 and $50,000. The anticipated date of release for the solicitation, via regular mail, will be on or about November 11/08/2004. A pre-bid meeting is tentatively set for the week of 11/15/04.
