Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), International Services (IS), 4700 River Road, Riverdale, MD, has a requirement for the following 3 line items: (0001 9 single occupancy sleeping rooms from November 1, 2004 through November 12, 2004; (0002 1- Suite with separate living room with a television/VCR from November 1, 2003 through November 12, 2004; (0003 1- Conference room from November 1, 2004 through November 12, 2004, excluding the weekend of November 6-7, 2004. This solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 721110 and the small business standard is six million dollars. , Fax quotations to: (612) 370-2136 Attn: Jayne Frommes. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE BY TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2004 BY 10:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. HOTEL LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATIONS: A.) Within 1-4 mile radius of the USDA APHIS River Road Complex at 4700 River Road, Riverdale, MD. B.) Accommodate suite, conference room, and lodging needs to be in the same establishment. C.) Within Government per diem allowance. D.) Hotel located in safe, well-lighted area. E.) Easel listing hostess room and conference room in the lobby of hotel directing candidates of location. 2. LODGING: A.) Up to 9 single occupancy sleeping rooms for 12 nights. B.) Individual sleeping rooms to be equipped with telephone data ports. C.) Rooms equipped with sprinkler system in each sleeping room. 3. MEETING: A.) Minimum of 600 square feet of meeting space. B.) Ample adjustable room lighting. C.) Meeting room setup by 7:30 am each morning. D) . Seating configuration to accommodate up to 6 people at a rectangular table. This configuration must allow for 2 chairs around the perimeter of the room. E.) Provide pitchers/glasses of water. 4. SUITE: 1 (ONE) suite with separate living room with television and VCR . Separate living room not needed on weekend of November 6-7, 2004- . 5. DINING FACILITIES: A) Dining facility readily accessible on the hotel premise's and/or available optional dining facilities or accommodations within 3 ? blocks of the hotel. 6. ACCESSIBILITY: A) Compliant with American with Disabilities Act (ADA) providing adequate accommodations for individuals with mobility, sight and hearing disabilities or impairments in the meeting room, rest rooms, sleeping rooms and on site restaurant.
