- The updated seminar Small Business Programs with the Federal Government will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at George Mason University Procurement Technical Assistance Program, 4031 University Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030. Cost is still only $45.00. Federal small business programs are changing fast! This seminar will cover the eligibility requirements and competitive benefits of federal small business programs, including small business size status and affiliation issues, 8(a) Business Development program rules, HUBZone program, and changes to the Veteran owned small business programs. We will also discuss the new and changing regulations in these areas including SBA's proposed conversion of 37 of its revenue or annual receipts based size standards to 10 employee based standards. This proposed conversion of the size standards could have a significant impact on certain businesses that, although currently eligible as small, may not qualify as small under the new regulations!
