Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR 13 with the format as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00181-05-Q-0009 is issued as a Request for Quotation and Request for Quotations are being requested. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-11 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement 1998 Ed. The NAICS classification is 334512 with a business size standard of 500 employees. Fleet Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex intends to make award for a turn-key installation for the following Services: Provide material and services to upgrade existing Miller Induction Heating Unit for wireless temperature monitoring. Material provided shall include a wireless temperature transmitter panel and a wireless temperature receiving panel. The temperature transmitter panel shall include the following: (1) One each, 12 inches x 14 inches fiberglass enclosure with shaft connection straps. (2) Three each, thermocouple to 4-20MA converters. (3) One each, four channel, 4-20MA analog input module. (4) One each, wireless transmitter. (5) Two each, 12 hour rechargeable batteries. (6) One each, battery charger. (7) One each, ?wireless link ok? indicator light. (8) One each, ?battery ok? indicator light. (9) One each, On/Off switch. The Temperature Receiver Panel shall include the following: (1) One each 12 inches x 14 inches fiberglass enclosure. (2) One each, four channel, 4-20MA analog output module. (3) One each, wireless receiver. Services provided shall include the following: (1) Create Autocad documentation to include component layout of diagram schematics for the transmitter panels, receiver panels and the interface between the receiver panel and existing equipment. (2) Determine interface wiring requirements between Norfolk Naval Shipyard?s existing Miller Induction Heating Equipment and wireless temperature receiver panel. (3) Install and connect wireless temperature receiver panels to existing Miller Induction Heating equipment at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. (4) Perform system operation checks at Norfolk Naval Shipyard after installation to demonstrate acceptable system operation (5) Train shipyard personnel on monitoring system operation. Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. FAR clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52..212-5 incorporating 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.232.33 as applicable. ADDENDA: 252.212-7001 incorporating 252.225-7001, DFAR 242.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION. LACK OF REGISTRATION IN THE CCR DATABASE WILL MAKE AN OFFEROR INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. All responses must include a completed cop of the certifications and representations set forth in FAR 52.212-3. Parties responding to this Request for Quotations may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, formal form quote, etc.) but must include the following information: (1) Complete mailing address address/remittance address; (2) Prompt payment discount; (3) anticipated delivery; (4) Taxpayer ID number TIN; (5) All completed certifications as required herein. All responses must be received by 2:00 P.M. local time, October 27, 2004.
