Description
The USAF will issue an RFP for the Repair/Overhaul of the Interconnect Box. Solicitation will be issued electronically through the FEDBIZOPS website. A firm-fixed price, Requirements contract with a one-year basic and 4 one-year option ordering periods will be issued. NSN: 5975-01-075-3343NZ; P/N: 4053467 Predominant material: Aluminum; Size/Dimensions: 3inches in length by 3 inches wide and 7 inches in height Form, Fit, Function: This item is a means of connecting the various cables used by The fuel system components that are electrically operated. Delivery: As specified in each individual order. Estimated quantities: Basic year-201, option 1-65, option 2-54, option 3-38, option 4-23. Government?s Delivery Schedule: basic year: 16 per month, option 1: 5 per month, option 2: 4 per month, option 3: 3 per month, option 4: 1 per month Anticipated solicitation issue date: 4 NOV 04. Anticipated award date: 5 Jan 05. Total estimated contract value: $421,005.00. Contractor will be Contract Furnished Material (CFM). Contractor shall furnish all required labor, direct material, parts, facilities, test equipment, and services to accomplish repair and modification, test, packaging preservation, and return to the government a completely serviceable item. Repair to be done IAW Statement of Work, applicable T.O.s, and other appendices. No telephone solicitation requests will be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved and qualified IAW with the Qualification Requirements. NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or Potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program manager or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict Confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate In the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
