- Description
- The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) plans to award a sole source modification for a two-month extension with (1) two-month Option to Veridan Systems Division, Inc. (Veridan) in support of the Infrared Information Analysis Center (IRIA) under contract SP0900-96-D-0080. Veridan is the only source to provide IRIA services within the required timeframe. This action represents a bridge extension until a competitive follow-on acquisition is awarded. Veridan has the operational capability in place for continuous DoD-wide demand for technical support in the area of Infrared Technology. Award to any other source would require transition and start-up time that would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling ongoing critical agency requirements. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and should not be a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 ? (1).
