Description
The purpose of the synopsis amendment is to add note 1: 100% set aside for small business concerns and remove the large business sources listed. The USAF has a requirement for the Nozzle Segment Turbine applicable to F100PW220 engine for the F15/F16 aircraft. NSN: 2840-01-455-9142NZ; P/N: 4088060; QTY: the Air Force anticipates a requirement for between 7,495 and 21,867; U/I: EA; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: approximately 21 inches long X 6 inches wide X 2 inches thick; FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: The convergent segments, together with balance segments, divergent segments and seals, form the nozzle throat area. This nozzle assembly is variable, allowing the size of the exhaust opening to change depending on engine thrust requirements. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: Titanium; DELIVERY: 30JUN05; DELIVER TO: Tinker AFB, OK. Anticipated solicitation issue date is 1NOV04. Anticipated award date: 28FEB05. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Solicitation will contain First Article provisions and waiver criteria. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards.
