Description
The United States Army is conducting a market investigation for the availability of an Interim Theater Support Vessel. This procurement must comply with the U.S. Build Restriction in 10 USC 7309(a). The Army plans to purchase up to two new or used ve ssels for delivery one each in December 2005 and December 2006. The contractor must provide 12 months of worldwide logistics support for the vessels. Please provide the estimated price for your vessels and a separate price for the 12 months of worldwide lo gistics support. This is not a Request for Proposal and does not authorize work to be done for the US Government. Owners of vessels are requested to identify a point of contact, including telephone, address and email address, for this research. The vessel shall be able to approach, meet or exceed the following requirements at delivery: 1. Classification --Det Norske Veritas R1 or equal 2. Berthing for 31 crew 3. Ramp(s) suitable for heavy trucks and low clearance trailers: 64 metric ton capacity 15 foot clear width for wide tracked vehicles 4. Seating for 354 passengers 5. Ability to load / unload and transport standard 20' ISO containers (may use cranes, container handlers, Mafi-trailers, etc.) 6. 600 metric ton deadweight 7. Fuel capacity (with 25 % margin) for 2,400 nm self-deployment (no cargo) at an average speed of 35 knots 8. 35 knots in loaded condition 9. A reservation of 1,000 square feet of habitable space The second vessel will have an additional requirement for a helicopter deck for an H-60 helicopter (Blackhawk). Speed as a function of deadweight or payload 6. Range characteristics 7. Delivery range and associated speed (no cargo) 8. Cargo deck characteristics: Areas Clearances Deck ratings (axle loads, etc.) 9. Container loading / unloading mechanics (cranes, Mafi-trailers, container handling, etc.) 10. Vessel builder 11. Vessel age 12.
