- The Air Force Geo Integration Office for Communications ( a position held be the 38 Engineering Installation Group, Tinker AFB OK), is conducting a GIS Industry Day on 16 Nov 04. The purpose is to present information on the Communications Mission Data Set, related application development, and standard data collection practices for GIS. Briefing topics will include: introduction to GeoBase and Communications, the structure of the Communications Mission Data Set, application design efforts, application target architectures, data collection methods using GPS devices, transformation of existing Communication CAD drawings to GIS format and program issues. This meeting is for informational purposes only; there will be no request for proposal stemming from this announcement. The industry day is scheduled for 16 Nov 04 from 8:00 ? 4:00 CST at the Reed Center, Midwest City OK. Directions to the Reed Center and information about the area can be found at www.ReedCenter.org.
