- Description
- This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (CIS) intends to contract with Jacob Javits Convention Center, 34th Street, New York, NY for the period of 10/01/2004 through 09/30/2005, to provide in that period 4 days of convention center use for the purpose of Naturalization Ceremonies. An acceptable facility shall accommodate at least 10,000 attendees and their guests, have handicap accessibility, and shall be located in close proximity to public transportation, bus terminals and train stations in the New York City Area. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Jacob Javits Convention Center under the authority 41 U.S.S. 253 ( c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis.
