- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a contract for technical expertise on the receipt, processing, analysis and reporting, to the National Program for Cancer Registries (NPCR), of primary central nervous system tumors. The NPCR will soon implement Public Law 107-260 (The Benign Brain Tumor Cancer Registries Amendment Act) that amends Cancer Registries Amendment Act and requires reporting of all central nervous system tumors, including those with a non-malignant histology. Currently, 22 states are reporting non-malignant tumors to the Central Brain Tumor Registry. Under the amended law, all states must report both malignant and non-malignant central nervous system tumors to the NPCR. CDC anticipates the award of a cost reimbursement contract, with a 24-month period of performance. Questions regarding the stated requirement shall be addressed to the Contract Specialist via e-mail at tdc0@cdc.gov; offerors shall note Request for Proposal No. 2004-N-01218 in the subject line of the e-mail. A consolidated question and answer listing will be posted to this site. The solicitation will be posted to this site or about 5/6/04 and proposals are due on/about 6/7/04. CDC will consider all responsible sources. Offerors are expected to download all documents concerning this requirement, as no hard copies will be mailed.
