Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of contractors to provide medical consultant services in the specialty of Psychology. This procurement will be for commercial item services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Consultation services shall consist of the paper review of medical evidence in disability claims on-site only at 1221 Nevin Avenue, Richmond, CA. No patient contact. Offerors must: (1) have a valid license to practice medicine in the US; (2) have current or recent clinical experience related to the specialties listed, or experience reviewing/adjudicating disability cases in the specialties listed, and (3) be available for onsite work a minimum of 12 hours per week, at least 2 days per week and for 44 weeks of the calendar year between 6:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Competitive pricing will be solicited and accepted. The expected date of contract will be in January 2005. The period of performance shall be from the date of award through December 31, 2005. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about October 26, 2004. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside with NAICS code 621111. Proposals received from other than small business will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
