- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for one (1) EA--14 x 4, 4 Channel 40 MSPS 14 bits A/D Card and, one (1) EA--Real-time digital data capture to disk, 352G byte disk storage rack mount computer chassis. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from SEIR Corporation, Goleta, CA, under the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) only one responsible source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by fax or email to Talaya Brooks not later than 4:30 p.m. eastern standard time on October 29, 2004, fax number 301-286-9159, or email at Talaya.A.BarnettBrooks@nasa.gov. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
