Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is soliciting prospective contractors for a Combined Sewer Overflow Project. The work of this project consists primarily of the installation of new storm drain lines, sewer lines, water main line s, and underdrain lines in the City of Lebanon, New Hampshire. This project is phase 3 of a series of projects designed to provide for the separation of storm water flow from sewer flow. This phase involves work in nine different streets within the City of Lebanon. Approximately 7000 linear feet LF of water line, 5,400 LF of gravity sewer, 3,800 LF of storm drain, and 3,400 LF of underdrain are to be installed. The sizes of these lines vary from 6 inch diameter underdrain pipe up to 48 inch diameter sto rm drain pipe. The installation of these lines will involve excavation within city streets, with the subsequent reconstruction of these streets upon completion of the line installations. Extension ledge excavation is anticipated approximately 7,000 CY, w hich may require blasting to accomplish. Line installation will also involve tasks such as pavement stripping, backfill and compaction, erosion control, trench dewatering, topsoiling and seeding, constructing retaining walls, connection to existing facili ties, removing and or plugging and abandoning existing facilities, testing and disinfection of lines, installing house services, and other related tasks. The project will require significant coordination by the Contractor with the City of Lebanon Public W orks Department, as well as with local fire and police departments, as the Contractor is responsible for traffic control and all required police details. Sanitary, storm, and water services must be maintained by the Contractor throughout the duration of t he project. Temporary water lines shall be constructed to allow for the safe passage of traffic by burial of the line or by the use of ramps, skid plates, or related items. The NAICS code for this Procurement is 237110, with a Size Standard of $28.5 mil lion. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis. The estimated issue date for this procurement is on or about 1 November 2004. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet to re ceive the solicitation. Amendments, if any, to this solicitation will be made available at thi s Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor fax requests will be accepted.
