Description
The MILSATCOM Joint Program Office (MJPO) will hold Transformational Satellite Communications System (TSAT) Mission Operations System (TMOS) Industry Days on the 28th and 29th of October, 2004 for potential offerors to provide inputs to the 1st Draft Request for Proposal (RFP). The conference is intended for potential TMOS prime contractors and their associated team members. One-on-one discussions will be held with interested prime contractors. Included in this announcement is the Industry Day discussion topics attachment. Small business offerors note that small business size standard NAICS 541710 (1,000 employees) applies. For information on the forthcoming TMOS contract, please see the related FedBizOps posting(s). The MJPO will host industry days at the Aerospace Corporation, 2350 East El Segundo Blvd, El Segundo CA 90245. Meetings will be held at the Unclassified Level, and registration is required for attendance. Email or call Ms. Stephanie Trombetta, (310) 336-4058, Stephanie.trombetta@losangeles.af.mil, with a list of attendees and provide a company Point of Contact email address. The number of attendees per company is limited to 20. Please specify if your company is interested in a prime contractor one-on-one session. All of the above information must be received by the 26th of October, 2004, 1600 Pacific Daylight Time. Contact Ms. Trombetta if you do not receive a confirmation email at least two days prior to the event. BE ADVISED: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from potential offerors. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to receive and communicate concerns from potential offerors when an offeror prefers not to use established channels to communicate his/her concern during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman will communicate certain offeror issues, disagreements, and recommendations on this acquisition into the proper channels. The Ombudsman's role is not to diminish the authority of the program director or the contracting officer but to advocate an offerors concern on a non-attribution basis. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern when requested by the offeror. The Ombudsman will not participate in the evaluation of proposals or the source selection process for this acquisition. The Ombudsman is Mr. Pat Devine, Phone Number (310) 363-3571.
