THE FUNCTION OF THE SPRAYBAR IS TO PROVIDE FUEL SPRAY INTO THE MIXING DUCT DURING AUGMENTED OPERATION. THE DIMENSION IS APPROX. 9 INCHES LONG WITH AN INTEGRAL ELBOW AND ?B? THREADED NIPPLE. THE MATERIAL CONSISTS OF L605. Applicable to: F110 Engine. Destination: FB2039 Delivery: MARCH 2005 Estimated Qty: 7096 each WITH RANGES TO BE SOLICITED AS 500 ? 2000, 2001-5000, 5001-7000, 7001-9000. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 1 November 2004. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 1 December 2004. The anticipated award date will be 14 JANUARY 2005. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. Data may be obtained from the TeDs website at www.dodteds.com once the solicitation has been issued. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal developments phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
