- <font face=Arial><div align=center> The Wilkes Barre VAMC </div>intends to solicit for a contractor to provide telepharmacy, or "virtual pharmacists," for both in- and outpatient order verification. Each pharmacist must hold a full and unrestricted license in a state or territory of the US. At the contractor's expense, a federal background investigation will be initiated on each pharmacist who has not been investigated and cleared by OPM/DOD within the past two years. Evidence of investigation status must be provided to the Contracting Officer upon contract award. Inpatient telepharmacy services will be provided 365 days/year between 10pm and 7am Eastern time; nightly workload ranges 0-20 RX upon request of nursing supervisor. Outpatient telepharmacy services that reduce the size of the pending file will be provided M-F 4:30pm - 8am, and 24 hrs on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. Daily workload ranges 250-500 RX. All quantities are subject to change in the solicitation. The intended contract will be for the remainer of FY05 with four one-year option periods. <div align=center>A solicitation will be released o/a 8 November 2004.</font></div>
