Description
The German Government has issued a Notification of Intent (NOI) of its Intention for Bidding (IFB) from all NATO countries related to its plan, in the near future, to advertise the following works/services within the framework of the commonly financed NATO Security Investment Program (NSIP): New construction at the Uedem (Udo) Air Defense Site from May 2005 thru July 2005. Type and Scope of this project (principal works/services only) is an extension of an existing general-master key-facility: make DOM IX 10KG; delivery and installation of 260 ea key cylinders. Although it is planned to place contracts covering A.M. works/services as a whole, the tender call may provide for a subdivision into separate lots. For the participation in the competitive bidding, only such firms are eligible who have properly been screened and who have been licensed to execute NATO contracts. This also applies to subcontractors and to members of combines. Firms desiring to participate are requested to submit their applications no later than 5 November 2004. The tender documents will be forwarded to applicants on after 23 November 2004. Bids will presumably have to be submitted by 4 January 2005 at 10 A.M. The date considered for placing the order is 15 February 2005. The applicants must be cleared for classified matters up to the degree of UNCLASSIFIED. Applications to supply private extension systems or other telecommunications installations which are to be connected with Public telecommunications network may only be submitted by firms licensed to do so by the Regulierungsbehorde fur Telekommunikation und Post (RegTP), Heinrich-von-Stephan-Str.1, 53175 Bonn-Bad Godesberg. A Photostat copy of the license must be submitted with the application. It is specifically stressed that the A.M. dates concerning the period of performance, the forwarding of the tender documents and the submissions of bids shall not be deemed to be final, and the competitive bidding might be delayed. ALL FIRMS INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROCUREMENT MUST BE CERTIFIED AND NOMININATED BY THEIR NATIONAL DELEGATIONS WITH THE REQUIRED DECLARATION OF ELIGIBILITY. REQUESTS FOR PARTICIPATION RECEIVED DIRECTLY FROM FIRMS MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED. YOUR FIRM MUST BE CERTIFIED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE BID MATERIALS FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. The U.S. Department of Commerce does not serve as the contracting agency for this NSIP-funded German project. All technical enquiries should be directed toward the contracting entity, the German Federal Office of Economy and Export Control, at P.O.B. 5171, 65726 Escborn, Germany; fax: 06196/942260.
