- Description
- The US Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Alabama has a requirement for the construction of multiple facilities on the same site to support the Missile Defense Agency's Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) System. The Government is prepar ed to proceed with the issuance of an unrestricted Request for Proposal (RFP) and currently intends to proceed with source selection and contract award for contruction of the BMD facilities and associated infrastructure, including roads at Fort Greely, Ala ska. The proposed contract type is firm fixed-price with economic price adjustment with option line items using full and open competition. A single solicitation is proposed with multiple bid schedules. It is anticipated that up to two contracts may be a warded from subject RFP. The place of contract performance is Fort Greely, Alaska. Source selection will be based upon best value, and factors for evaluation will be set forth in the solicitation document. The applicable NAICS is 233, Construction. The tentative date for release of the solicitation is on or about 1 Nov 04. The duration of the contract is expected to be approximately two years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
